Historically, leasing has been reserved only for new vehicles. Stepping Stone offers used vehicle leasing to any Utah resident with a valid Utah driver’s license or valid passport. Now you have the option to lease a quality used vehicle with a lower monthly payment and a shorter term.

Our short-term lease to own program gives you options you don’t have when you sign a 5–7 year loan contract. Our lease program gives you the option to get into a newer vehicle more frequently because our leases are all 36 months or less.

Any time during your lease term, you have the option to purchase the vehicle or trade-in the vehicle at a dealership.

When your lease term ends, you have the option to buy the vehicle for the small remaining (Residual) balance, or you can return it to Stepping Stone and walk away!

If the vehicle does not pass Utah safety inspection or emissions inspection, you must:

• Repair the vehicle prior to return, OR
• Coordinate with Stepping Stone to get estimates to complete the repairs and pay Stepping Stone those amounts when the vehicle is returned.
